    The Ray Wu Scholarship, established in 2008 by the Ray Wu Memorial Fund, is widely regarded as the most prestigious scholarship for doctoral students in the life sciences among the Chinese scientific community. It honors the legacy of Professor Ray Wu, a pioneering molecular biologist who made outstanding contributions to the training of a new generation of Chinese scientists.

    Each year, around ten exceptional Ph.D. students in life sciences are selected for this award in recognition of their academic excellence, research innovation, and leadership potential. Dr. Yang’s achievement reflects his outstanding contributions to chemical biology and molecular medicine, as well as the Lei Lab’s ongoing commitment to advancing cutting-edge research at the interface of chemistry and biology.

  • Lei Xiaoguang’s Research Group Showcases Achievements at the CLS Annual Retreat

    The research group led by Prof. Xiaoguang Lei actively participated in the Annual Retreat of the Center for Life Sciences (CLS), presenting their latest scientific progress and achievements.

    At the meeting, Dr. Fusheng Guo was invited to give a flash talk, where he highlighted the group’s cutting-edge research and engaged the audience with thought-provoking insights. Dr. Yingjie Bai’s poster presentation stood out among many excellent contributions and was honored with the Best Popularity Award, reflecting both the high quality of the research and the strong interest it generated from participants.

    Meanwhile, graduate students Yihui Gao and Nianxin Guo also presented posters showcasing their ongoing projects. Their active participation further demonstrated the breadth and vitality of the group’s research endeavors.

    The retreat provided an excellent platform for academic exchange and collaboration, and the Lei group’s contributions added to the vibrant scientific atmosphere of the event.

  • APPW 2025

    APPW 2025, a physiology conference held in partnership with anatomical and pharmacological societies, took place at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan, from March 17th to 19th. Prof. Lei and Dr. Sun participated in the event, delivering keynote speeches and presenting academic posters on their latest research findings. Their contributions stimulated engaging discussions among international peers, fostering further academic collaboration in the field.
