On September 8, Jiao Group held its first group meeting of the new semester. This meeting featured a special surprise: all students in the research group had meticulously crafted a creatively designed "banner cake" for Professor Jiao to express their gratitude to their mentor.
The cake was shaped like a traditional Chinese red silk banner and bore large golden lettering that read: “Dear Professor Jiao, your academic work is truly outstanding—simply incredible!” It also read: “Presented by all students of the research group, September 2026.” This humorous yet sincere message created a warm and joyful atmosphere at the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the students extended Teachers' Day greetings to Professor Jiao, thanking him for his dedicated guidance and tireless mentorship throughout their research journey. Professor Jiao thanked the students for their kind words and encouraged them to remain grounded and courageous in their explorations during the new semester, striving to achieve more high-quality research outcomes.
Subsequently, the students who had attended the 2026 International Symposium on Supramolecular Science and Technology took turns sharing insights from the event. They presented reports on cutting-edge developments and the latest research advances in supramolecular science, shared their reflections on interacting with fellow researchers, and engaged in lively discussions with faculty members and students present about relevant research directions. In this relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, faculty members and students exchanged academic ideas, setting a positive tone for the research work of the new semester.
