Professor Jian Liu of Peking University has been elected Member at Large—one of the five members of the Board of the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science (IAQMS)—at the Academy's Annual Meeting held in Berkeley, California, on May 30–31, 2026.
Professor Liu was elected a member of IAQMS in 2025. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Menton, France, IAQMS is one of the world's leading scientific academies in quantum molecular science. Membership is awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field. Eleven IAQMS members have received Nobel Prizes, and the Academy currently has approximately 140 members worldwide.
